Legacy Pro Sports Foundation

Improving the lives of athletes.

We support athletes facing the dual challenges of mental health and performance pressure, at the youth, collegiate and professional level, so they can thrive on and off the field.

Our vision

Strong in sport. Stronger in life.

We envision a world where every athlete has access to the comprehensive support they need. Our vision goes beyond emotional wellness to the holistic development of athletes, empowering them to navigate their careers with confidence and resilience.

Together, we aspire to create a legacy of strength, resilience and success for athletes at all stages of their journey.

Why it matters

35%
of professional athletes struggle with mental health performance
20–35%
of college athletes struggle with mental health performance
2%
of student-athletes go on to play professionally

Signs to watch for include irritability, sadness or anxiety, trouble concentrating, changes in sleep or appetite, and inconsistent performance.

Brandon's story

Why this is personal

Brandon Siler's six-year NFL career ended after the death of his teammate and close friend, Jovan Belcher, at the Kansas City Chiefs facility in 2012. In the years that followed, Brandon battled anxiety and depression, including two suicide attempts.

Through his faith and the specialized support of the Legacy Healthy Minds program, he found his way forward. Today he uses that experience to make sure other athletes don't face these challenges alone.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time.
